Abstract(s)
A compreensão da palavra falada é imprescindível para se estabelecer um diálogo coerente, pois dependemos desta capacidade para as mais diversas tarefas do nosso quotidiano. Assim, a compreensão do oral é fundamental no âmbito da educação, sendo também transversal a todas as áreas disciplinares.
Para que os alunos desenvolvam as suas capacidades neste domínio da oralidade, devem beneficiar de um treino regular, sendo por isso importante que o professor assuma o papel de orientador e disponibilize às crianças estratégias e materiais que as auxiliem. Neste sentido, este estudo tem como finalidade verificar se o treino sistemático e intencional, das competências da compreensão do oral, aliado a atividades práticas de Estudo do Meio, pode contribuir para o desenvolvimento da compreensão oral, assim como pretende perceber quais são as dificuldades e as facilidades dos alunos no domínio da compreensão oral, tendo em conta diferentes géneros textuais. Para dar resposta aos objetivos enunciados, as resoluções das fichas para o desenvolvimento da compreensão oral das crianças e dois testes de compreensão oral fazem parte dos instrumentos de recolha de dados.
O presente relatório tem, portanto, como objetivo apresentar o resultado do estudo realizado durante a prática pedagógica no contexto de estágio. Do ponto de vista metodológico, o estudo assenta numa abordagem qualitativa e apresenta algumas características de investigação-ação. A investigação foi desenvolvida numa turma do 2.º ano de escolaridade, num período de três semanas, em que participaram dezasseis crianças, sete rapazes e nove raparigas de uma escola pública do distrito de Setúbal.
As conclusões do estudo parecem evidenciar que o treino intencional de diferentes tipos de compreensão, através de fichas e guiões e através das explicações controladas da professora, adaptados às características da turma, pode auxiliar no desenvolvimento da compreensão oral, uma vez que se constataram progressos nos desempenhos dos alunos neste domínio.
The understanding of the spoken word is essential to establish a coherent dialogue since we rely on this ability for the most diverse tasks throughout our daily lives. Therefore, oral comprehension is fundamental in the scope of education, since it is also transversal to all the disciplinary areas. In order to develop students’ skills in this orthodontic field, children should benefit from regular training, which is why it is important that the teacher assumes the role of counselor and provides strategies and materials that help the class. In this sense, this study aims to determine if the systematic and intentional training of oral comprehension skills, combined with practical activities in Environmental Studies, may contribute to the development of listening skills, as well as intends, taking into account different textual genres, to recognize the strengths and weaknesses of students regarding oral comprehension. In order to obtain answers to the stated goals, the execution of the worksheet assignments for the development of children's oral comprehension and two tests focused on those same skills are part of the data collection instruments. The purpose of this dissertation is to demonstrate the results of my study while teaching, in an internship context. From the methodological point of view the study is based on a qualitative approach with some characteristics of an action research. The investigation was carried out in a second grade classroom, within the public school system in Setúbal’s district, inside a period of three weeks, and counted on the participation of sixteen children, wherein seven of those children were boys and nine were girls. Bearing in mind the detection of significant improvements in the field of oral comprehension, the results of this study seem to demonstrate that the intentional training of different types of comprehension, through the use of worksheets and scripts and through controlled explanations from the teacher, adapted to the class’ characteristics, can help in the development of listening skills.
