Abstract(s)
Stroke is assumed to be a pathology with high mortality, however, because of the evolution of neurosciences, this mortality has been decreasing, in turn increasing the disability related to its sequelae. In addition to this situation, hospitalizations are also increasingly shorter, leading people to return home with more limitations and needing more support. Informal caregivers are thus crucial elements to ensure continuity of care, experiencing these, in the light of the Theory of Transitions, a transition to the role of caregiver that must be the target of a differentiated intervention so that health gains can be obtained for caregivers and people in need of care. In this sense, the question arose “What are the interventions of the rehabilitation nurse that facilitate the transition to the role of informal caregiver of the person with a stroke?”, having been carried out a narrative review of the literature on this topic. This report intends to constitute a synthesis of this narrative review of the literature and of the reflection on the development of common and specific competences of the EER, in the context of internships carried out in a community and hospital context.
