Abstract(s)
Os desportos de pavilhão têm evoluído nos últimos anos e como tal é necessário que a
segurança desses eventos e as respetivas infraestruturas, façam esse acompanhamento. A
Polícia necessita de dotar os seus elementos de formação específica para terem capacidade
de responder corretamente à complexidade que estes eventos exigem. Também os
promotores destas modalidades precisam de fazer investimentos, de forma a melhorar as
condições dos recintos e garantir a segurança de todos os intervenientes. Todos os eventos
desportivos têm um certo risco associado para o qual é necessário fazer uma avaliação
prévia, bem como uma avaliação constante e dinâmica do mesmo durante os eventos, de
forma a ter uma resposta eficaz aos problemas que possam surgir. Neste sentido importa
perceber quais são os fatores que influenciam o bom decorrer de um evento desportivo de
pavilhão, sendo esse o problema em estudo nesta investigação. De forma a atingir este
objetivo, foi realizado um estudo exploratório de natureza qualitativa em que foram
realizadas entrevistas a pessoas com comprovada experiência na área em estudo. Foi
possível perceber que a formação dos polícias, bem como as infraestruturas dos pavilhões
têm influência no desenrolar do evento. Da mesma forma, o tipo de infraestruturas
existente não favorece o trabalho da Polícia, obrigando a uma adaptação na sua forma de
atuação, para conseguir resolver problemas em pavilhões desportivos.
Sports inside sport halls have evolved during the last years and so it is necessary for the security of those events and their infrastructure to pursue that pattern. The police must endow its specific training elements to be able to respond correctly to the complexity that those events demand. Also, the promoters of these modalities need to make investments, to improve the condition of the area and establish the security of those involved. All sports events have a certain risk associated and for that, it is mandatory to accomplish a previous evaluation, as well as a constant and dynamic evaluation throughout the events, in order to have an adequate response to the issues that might emerge. Taking this into consideration, it is important to understand what are the factors that influence a positive outcome of a sports event inside a sports hall, seeing that as the issue under analysis in this investigation. So as to achieve this goal, an exploratory study of a qualitative nature has been implemented in which interviews were conducted to individuals with proven experience in the field under study. It was possible to understand that the instruction of the police officers, as well as the infrastructure of the sports hall have influence throughout the event. In the same way, the sort of the existing infrastructures does not praise the police work, demanding an adjustment in its way of acting, in order to solve the issues in sports halls.
