Abstract(s)
Prostate cancer is the most common type of cancer in the world for men. The identification and compreehension of the molecular mechanisms underlying the beggining and progression of this cancer are the basis for the development of therapeutics with a strong potencial to have a more effective action. With this biliografic review it was tried, more specificaly, to associate the genetic, cromossomic, molecular, and celullar alterations to the molecular mechanisms involved in the carcinogenesis of prostate cancer. The knowledge of this concepts are essencial for the formulation and improvement of target-therapeutics to specific molecules or pathways more suited to treat this type of cancer. For the elaboration of this monography, about 50 articles were analyzed, between the years of 2013 and 2018, from the following data bases: PubMed, Google Scholar.
