| dc.description.abstract | No perĂodo de erupção podem ocorrer vĂĄrias falhas como anormalidades de nĂșmero, tamanho, posição, forma e estrutura. O termo dentes inclusos consiste na erupção incompleta por um limite fĂsico ou por falta de força eruptiva suficiente, que por vezes dĂĄ origem Ă cĂĄries, infeçÔes, reabsorção dos dentes adjacentes, doença periodontal ou quistos e tumores. Os dentes inclusos mais frequentes sĂŁo os terceiros molares mandibulares e maxilares, seguidos dos caninos maxilares que sĂŁo mais frequentes unilateralmente e no sexo feminino. Em muitos casos os terceiros molares nĂŁo encontram o espaço suficiente para erupcionar dado o facto de serem os Ășltimos a nascer, o que pode fazer com que fiquem inclusos ou semi-inclusos, originando algumas patologias associadas. Os caninos maxilares tĂȘm um papel importante na estĂ©tica e oclusĂŁo funcional, mas por vezes ficam inclusos, portanto um diagnĂłstico o mais precoce possĂvel Ă© fundamental. Nestas situaçÔes Ă© essencial analisar os diferentes tratamentos possĂveis como osteotomia, coronectomia, operculectomia, entre outros. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | During the eruption period, various failures may occur such as abnormalities in number, size, position, shape and structure. The term unerupted teeth consists of incomplete eruption due to a physical limit or lack of sufficient eruptive force, which sometimes gives rise to caries, infections, resorption of adjacent teeth, periodontal disease or cysts and tumors. The most frequent included teeth are mandibular and maxillary third molars, followed by maxillary canines which are more frequent unilaterally and in females. In many cases, third molars do not find enough space to erupt because they are the last to erupt, which can cause them to become impacted or half impacted, leading to some associated pathologies. Maxillary canines play an important role in esthetics and functional occlusion, but sometimes they become impacted, so an early diagnosis is essential. In these situations, it is essential to analyze the different possible treatments such as, osteotomy, coronectomy, operculectomy, among others. | pt_PT |
