Abstract(s)
A estimativa do tempo da duração do tratamento ortodôntico é um elemento de fundamental relevância, pois posiciona-se como uma das principais preocupações dos seus intervenientes, ou seja, dos pacientes e dos profissionais.
A considerar isso, como resultado, um planeamento preciso do tempo de duração do
tratamento proporciona uma maior eficiência dos resultados que dele se esperam.
Assim, o objetivo do presente estudo foi no sentido de serem avaliados os principais
fatores que influenciam a duração do tratamento ortodôntico, perante as classificações das más oclusões, associados ou não, a fatores externos, como a cooperação do paciente durante o tratamento.
Neste contexto foi levada a cabo uma revisão bibliográfica direcionada e assente na
identificação e avaliação dos principais fatores que influenciam a duração do tratamento
ortodôntico.
No plano prático, o presente estudo foi alicerçado a partir de elementos estatísticos
associados a modelos multivariados, com o objetivo de avaliar os diferentes fatores que
influenciaram o tempo de duração do tratamento ortodôntico nos pacientes identificados perante às más oclusões de Classe I, de Classe II/1 e de Classe III.
The orthodontic treatment estimation is a fundamental relevance element, since it is positioned as one of the main concerns of the participants, that is, the patients and the profissionals. To consider this, as a consequence, accurate treatment time planning provides greater efficiency of expected outcomes. Therefore, the objective of the present study was to evaluate the main factors that influence the orthodontic treatment duration, considering the malocclusion classification associated or not, with external factors, such as patient cooperation during treatment. In this context, a bibliographic review was conducted and based on the identification and evaluation of the main factors that influence the orthodontic treatment time. In the practical plan, the present study was based on statistical elements associated with multivariate models, with the objective of evaluating the different factors that influence the orthodontic treatment duration in Class I, Class II/1 and Class III malocclusion patients.
