| dc.description.abstract | O projeto de investigação Representações de género no discurso jornalístico: o crime sexual é apresentado como dissertação de mestrado e procura verificar as diferenças nas representações de género nos media quanto a vítimas e agressores, recorrendo para o efeito a uma análise de todos os números dos jornais Público e Correio da Manhã do ano de 2017. Com este estudo, pretende-se explorar as diferenças de género nas suas representações e a forma como estas diferenças acabam por influenciar os papéis sociais e a própria sociedade. Pretende-se demonstrar também que este impacto não será negativo apenas para um dos sexos, mas para ambos. A presente investigação culmina com a discussão dos resultados obtidos a partir da análise de dados, focando-se a diferença no destaque dado a notícias sobre agressores masculinos versus agressores femininos e vítimas masculinas versus vítimas femininas. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | The research project Gender representations in journalistic discourse: the sexual crime is presented as a master’s thesis, where what is sought is to verify the differences in the gender representations in the media regarding victims and aggressors, using for this purpose an analysis of all copies of the newspapers Público and Correio da Manhã of the year 2017. This study intends to explore the gender differences in their representations and how these differences end up impacting social roles and society itself. It is also intended to demonstrate that this impact will not be negative only for one sex, but for both.The present investigation culminates in the discussion of the results obtained from the data analysis, focusing on the difference in the emphasis given to news about male aggressors versus female aggressors and male victims versus female victims. | pt_PT |
