Abstract(s)
O presente relatório visa descrever as atividades e
reabilitação oral, considerando as exigências específicas
utilizador.
garantir a eficácia e a personalização necessária.
The purpose of this report is to describe the activities and experiences acquired during the curricular internship carried out in partnership with Osteotech, Tecnologia e Desenvolvimento, Lda. This internship was carried out as part of the Master's Degree in Product and Spatial Design at IADE - European University - Faculty of Design, Technology and Communication, as the final assessment stage for completing the master's degree. During the internship, a challenge was identified relating to the improvement of prosthetic components in the field of oral rehabilitation, taking into account the specific requirements of users. The approach adopted was based on user-centered design, with an emphasis on user testing. In addition to the above, this report also focuses on the process of developing and evaluating a customizable prosthetic component. This solution aims to provide additional value to the work of professionals in the field of oral implantology. This dental specialty is dedicated to replacing teeth by placing implants, and a prosthetic component is crucial to the success of the surgical intervention. The improvement strategy emphasizes the importance of user testing in validating the proposed solutions. Gathering direct feedback from users is crucial to ensuring effectiveness and the necessary customization. This aligns with the vision of creating products that are not only tangibly improved, but also founded on substantial contributions to knowledge about the practical application of user-centered design, with a special focus on the user testing process. This report is intended for professionals, researchers and students interested in the evolution of design in the field of oral health.
