Abstract(s)

The complexity of the environment and the intensive care provided may present a negative impact on the families. Therefore, the reception of the families becomes the privileged moment for the precocious identification of their needs, enabling the creation of a therapeutical relationship for the planning of personalized directed interventions at minimizing that impact. The construction of the Project of Professional Intervention during the internship appears as an attempt to provide an answer to this problem. The Reception Norm and Reception Guide to the Family of the Person in a Critical Condition were two instruments created during this internship to provide answers to the identified needs.
