Este projeto investigou o impacto da empatia e da Educação Artística
no desenvolvimento das crianças do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico. Partindo do
pressuposto de que as artes são fundamentais para promover competências
sociais e emocionais, este estudo explorou como as atividades artísticas
podem incitar a empatia entre os alunos. A análise focou-se na perspetiva das
crianças, averiguando como essas práticas influenciam o seu crescimento
pessoal e social.
Os objetivos principais deste trabalho foram: a) investigar a perceção
das crianças sobre a empatia; b) avaliar o papel da Educação Artística nesse
desenvolvimento e c) identificar quais atividades artísticas contribuem mais
para esse processo. A metodologia utilizada incluiu observações e
intervenções em sala de aula e questionários, para além da aplicação e análise
de atividades artísticas específicas planeadas de forma a promover a empatia.
As observações foram registadas detalhadamente e analisadas
qualitativamente para proporcionar uma compreensão profunda das
dinâmicas e interações entre os alunos.
Os resultados demonstraram que as crianças participantes das
atividades artísticas propostas apresentaram um aumento notável na
capacidade de compreender e partilhar os sentimentos dos outros. Os
questionários revelaram que as crianças sentiram-se mais conectadas e
cooperativas após participarem desses projetos, indicando uma melhoria
significativa nas suas capacidades empáticas.
Deste modo, a Educação Artística desempenha um papel crucial no
desenvolvimento da empatia entre crianças do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico.
This report investigates the impact of empathy and Arts Education on the development of elementary school children. Based on the assumption that the arts are fundamental to promoting social and emotional skills, this study explores how artistic activities can incite empathy among students. The analysis focuses on the children's perspective, investigating how these practices influence their personal and social growth. The main objectives of this report were to investigate children's perception of empathy, evaluate the role of Artistic Education in this development and identify which artistic activities contribute most to this process. The methodology used included observations and interventions in the classroom and questionnaires, in addition to the application and analysis of specific artistic activities planned to promote empathy. Observations were recorded in detail and qualitatively analyzed to provide an in-depth understanding of the dynamics and interactions between students. The results demonstrated that children participating in the proposed artistic activities showed a notable increase in their ability to understand and share the feelings of others. The questionnaires revealed that they felt more connected and cooperative after participating in theseIt is concluded that Artistic Education plays a crucial role in the development of empathy among children in the 1st Cycle of Elementary School. Artistic activities not only promote creative expression but also facilitate emotional and social understanding projects, indicating a significant improvement in their empathic skills.
