Nos últimos anos o turismo tem sido um instrumento para o desenvolvimento da economia.
Eventos tem vindo a crescer se olharmos para nos últimos anos e transformaram-se em algo
popular, porque esta é a forma de atrair visitantes para certos destinos. Eventos criam uma
oportunidade para a comunidade anfitriã se desenvolver e partilhar a sua cultura perante os
seus visitantes. Se olharmos para estes factos, podemos dizer que o Carnaval em Torres
Vedras, Portugal é uma forma para eles partilharem a sua identidade, tanto social como
cultural. Isto é a forma mais visível e uma componente que envolve a comunidade, da
atividade turística de Torres Vedras.
Tourism has been a tool of economic development in the last years. Events have been growing as we look into the last years and has turned into something popular, this is a way to attract visitors to some destinations. Events created an opportunity to the host community to expand and share their culture to the visitors. As we look into these facts we can say that the Carnival in Torres Vedras, Portugal is a way for them to share their identity, both social and cultural. This is the most visible and community involving component of the tourism activity of Torres Vedras.
