O embarque, o trabalho e a família: Efeitos do conflito trabalho-família no desempenho do militar embarcado.

| dc.description.abstract | Com a evolução dos tempos, cada vez mais se verifica a divisão das tarefas domésticas que compõem o quotidiano do casal. Assim sendo, a divergência entre as esferas familiar e laboral é uma realidade. A difícil conjugação entre estas duas esferas conduz à existência do fenómeno identificado por conflito trabalho-família (CTF). Sendo o CTF uma noção abordada em diversas investigações, considerou-se pertinente estudá-lo no contexto das Forças Armadas, mais precisamente no contexto da Marinha Portuguesa e dos militares embarcados. Esta investigação tem como objetivo o estudo do efeito de moderação do ambiente de trabalho de suporte à família (ATSF) na relação entre o CTF e o desempenho do militar embarcado. Este estudo teve como base, a aplicação de questionários a 252 militares embarcados. Após a análise dos dados concluímos, que o CTF influencia positivamente o desempenho do militar embarcado, logo, à medida que a perceção do CTF aumenta, melhor é o desempenho do militar embarcado. Ao introduzir a variável ATSF verificamos que o ATSF não varia consoante o tempo de embarque e que também não influencia o CTF. O resultado rejeita a hipótese de que o ASTF modera a relação entre o CTF e o desempenho do militar. Assim sendo todas as hipóteses abordadas na presente investigação são rejeitadas. A finalidade deste tipo de trabalhos só vai ser compreendida quando se identifica as suas consequências no desenvolvimento de estratégias que levem ao sucesso da harmonia entre a relação trabalho-família. Abstract: With the evolution of the times, more and more, there is a division of the domestic tasks that make up the daily life of the couple. Thus, the divergence between the family and work spheres is a reality. The difficult conjugation between these two denominations leads to the existence of the phenomenon identified by work-family conflict (WFC). When the WFC was a notion addressed in several investigations, it was considered pertinent to study it in the context of the Armed Forces, more precisely in the context of the Portuguese Navy and the military on board. This research aims to study the moderation effect of the family support work environment (FSWE) on the relationship between the WFC and the performance of the boarded seamen. This study was based on the application of questionnaires to 252 military personnel. After the analysis of the data, we conclude that the WFC positively influences the performance of the boarded seamen, so as the perception of the WFC increases, the better the performance of the boarded seamen. When introducing the variable FSWE we verified that the FSWE does not vary according to the time of shipment and that also does not influence the WFC. The result rejects the hypothesis that FSWE moderates the relationship between the WFC and military performance. Thus, all the hypotheses addressed in the present investigation are rejected. The purpose of this type of work will only be understood when identifying its consequences in the development of strategies that lead to the success of the harmony between the work-family relationship. | pt_PT |
