| dc.description.abstract | A Inteligência Artificial é uma tecnologia emergente e disruptiva que tem vindo a alterar a forma de emprego das Forças Armadas. O Exército Brasileiro tem procurado modernizar-se e incorporar novas capacidades para aumentar seu Poder de Combate, culminando na Força 40. Investigou-se o problema sobre como se poderá implementar a IA na Força 40 de modo a maximizar o incremento do Poder de Combate da Força Terrestre brasileira sendo o objetivo geral deste estudo analisar a incorporação da IA na Força 40. Adotou-se o conceito epistemológico interpretativo com o raciocínio dedutivo e uma estratégia de investigação mista. Realizou-se um estudo de caso com uma abordagem temporal transversal limitada ao EB. A análise documental e o questionário foram utilizados como instrumentos de recolha de dados. A pesquisa feita com os oficias do Quadro de Estado-Maior da Ativa permitiu perceber como a IA deve ser implementada para gerar os maiores benefícios no Poder de Combate, dada a realidade brasileira. Foram identificados tanto o impacto direto como o impacto cruzado do investimento em IA nos elementos do Poder de Combate. O emprego de IA em Forças Armadas de Referência foi analisado tendo-se constatado que a tecnologia está a ser utilizada para processar e analisar dados e informações do ambiente, com o intuito de melhorar o fluxo decisório. A análise dos resultados permitiu concluir que a FCmb Inteligência seria a mais propícia para receber investimentos para a implementação de IA, maximizando os recursos aplicados e melhorando o Poder de Combate. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | Artificial Intelligence is an emerging and disruptive technology that has been changing the way the Armed Forces are employed. The Brazilian Army has sought to modernize itself and incorporate new capabilities to increase its combat power, culminating in the “Força 40”. The problem of how AI can be implemented in the “Força 40” in order to maximize the increase in the combat power of the Brazilian Land Force was investigated, with the general objective of this study being to analyze the incorporation of AI in the “Força 40”. The interpretative epistemological concept was adopted with deductive reasoning and a mixed research strategy. A case study was conducted with a transversal temporal approach limited to the Brazilian Army. Document analysis and the questionnaire were used as data collection instruments. The survey conducted with officers of the Active General Staff allowed us to understand how AI should be implemented to generate the greatest benefits in combat power, given the Brazilian reality. Both the direct impact and the cross-impact of investment in AI on the elements of combat power were identified. The use of AI in Reference Armed Forces was analyzed and it was found that the technology is being used to process and analyze data and information from the environment, with the aim of improving the decision-making flow. The analysis of the results allowed us to conclude that the Intelligence Combat Function would be the most suitable to receive investments for the implementation of AI, maximizing the resources applied and improving Combat Power. | eng |
