Abstract(s)

The Forest Fires Program (Programa de Sapadores Florestais) emerged in 1999 as an instrument of forestry policy to contribute to the reduction of fire risk and the enhancement of forest resources through the creation of specialized teams, of combat already existent, this work will analyze the effectiveness of the first intervention in fire. The goal is to be obtained from all the speeches of three teams of sapadores (SF 01-16 C; SF 03-16C; SF 04-16C) of the Association of Farmers of Abrantes and Sardoal Mação Constancy in the period 2010 to 2017, having these interventions was valid for the SISF-program information system of Forestry Sappers (web interface), which allows a management permanent data. The sides had 379 interventions in the study period (2010-2017); of these, 148 were 1The interventions, 112 of combat support, 35 in aftermath and 84 false alarms. The first intervention operations 148, 115 had effectively, 33 have not been effective which gives an efficacy rate of 77.70%. The SF-01-16 c team obtained a 77.04% efficacy, the SF-03- 16 c obtained a 82.75% effectiveness and the SF-04-16 c obtained a 75.86% effectiveness. Analysis of the database of Sappers, using a regression Logística. As explanatory variables were Length of the intervention, the ETA, the FWI, teams of deminers, the alert level and the distance to the theatre of operations (TO). KEYWORDS: First intervention, efficacy, Sapper program, Forest firefighters, SISF - Information system of the Sapper Program (web interface).Explanatory variables ( duration of the intervention, the ETA, the FWI, teams of deminers, the alert level and the distance to the theatre of operations (TO) ).
