| dc.description.abstract | A presente investigação procurou tocar nos assuntos da cultura digital e de massas, na compreensão das repercussões socioculturais agregadas à imagem digital e como as criações produzidas numa dada sociedade podem moldar, de forma negativa, o modo como o observador perceciona a realidade que o rodeia; o fim último da presente investigação, e projeto, centrar-se-á: 1) nos fatores que podem ajudar a quebrar o círculo vicioso de manipulação e controlo — a apatia social — provenientes da imagem digital; 2) na utilização da imagem digital como meio de expressão da identidade pessoal. A conclusão define-se através da criação de um livro de artista digital/website, para a fundamentação das respostas alcançadas, acerca do modo como o criador e o observador podem obter o controlo outrora perdido. Cada indivíduo deve sentir-se capaz de colocar no mundo as suas ideias e identidade, expressar o que lhe vai na mente — a sua imaginação; apenas deste modo se consegue mudar a mentalidade da sociedade. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | The present investigation was concerned with the issues related to mass and digital culture, in understanding the sociocultural repercussions of the digital image and how the several creations, produced in a specific society, help to shape, in a negative manner, the way the observer perceives the reality that surrounds him; the purpose of the present investigation, and project, will focus in 1) the factors that might help break the vicious cycle related with the manipulation and control — the social apathy — as an outcome of the digital image; 2) the use of the digital image as a means to express self-identity. In order to support the answers, previously attained, regarding the ways with which both the creator and the observer can acquire the control once lost, the conclusion of this project is defined through the creation of an artist’s book/ website. Every individual must feel capable of communicating it’s own ideas and identity, to express what is on it’s mind — it’s imagination; only through this way, one can change the mindset of the society. | pt_PT |
