Abstract(s)
As atividades desenvolvidas
hipotermia no perioperatório”.
O enfermeiro do
A compreensão do contexto do cliente,
do processo perioperatório e melhoram a experiência cirúrgica no cliente e família/pessoa
significativa.
The present internship report was carried out within the framework of the Master's Course in Medical and Surgical Nursing, in the area of Nurse for Persons in Perioperative Situation (MEMCPSPE), of the Higher School of Nursing of Porto. The main objective of this report is to analyze the process of acquisition and development of competences of the Nurse Specialist in Medical Surgical Nursing to the Person in Perioperative Situation (EEEMCPSPE), during the stage that took place in the Ambulatory Surgery Unit (UCA) and the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (UCPA) in the Central Operating Block. (BOC). The methodology used was to describe the activities carried out and to reflect on and critically analyse them, based on scientific evidence. The activities developed during the internship were in line with the Project for the Development of Specific Competences of the Nurse Specialist in Medical-Surgical Nursing to the Person in Perioperative Situation with the theme “Inadverted Hypothermia – The role of the nurse in the prevention of hypothermia in the perioperatory.” The perioperative context encompasses a set of characteristics that favour exposing clients to conditions that make them more susceptible to loss of body heat. Perioperative nurses play a crucial role in preventing hypothermia through their autonomous interventions. Preventing inadvertent hypothermia requires a comprehensive approach that goes beyond simply applying heat. Understanding the client's context, assessing risks and adapting interventions aim to prevent this adverse event and provide quality perioperative care with a view to client safety. The relevance of the internship in specialised perioperative care units contributed positively to the development and improvement of specialised skills in the field of care for perioperative clients and their families/significant others. It was concluded that the development of autonomous perioperative nursing activities contributes to minimising the impact of the perioperative process on the client and their family/significant person and promotes an improvement in the quality of perioperative healthcare.
