Abstract(s)
O presente relatório apresenta uma investigação realizada numa prática pedagógica de formação inicial de professores do 1.o Ciclo do Ensino Básico. O estudo pretende compreender como é conduzida uma investigação estatística partindo de um problema real identificado pelos alunos de uma turma do 3.o ano de escolaridade e como esta contribuiu para o desenvolvimento da sua literacia estatística.
Considerou-se fundamental que o estudo respondesse a um problema do contexto real dos alunos da turma, identificado por eles, e que todas as etapas da investigação estatística fossem desenvolvidas tornando-os agentes ativos da sua própria aprendizagem.
A metodologia de investigação é de natureza qualitativa e os dados foram recolhidos através da observação participante e da recolha documental, usando as produções dos alunos, orais e escritas. Os resultados do estudo mostram que os alunos conseguiram mobilizar todas as etapas da investigação estatística, impelidos a responder ao problema inicial colocado por eles. Desta forma, considera-se que a abordagem a partir de contextos reais, significativos para os alunos, e o exercício da sua agência, mobilizando capacidades como a iniciativa e autonomia, permitiu o desenvolvimento da sua literacia estatística.
This report presents an investigation carried out in a pedagogical practice during the initial training of elementary school teachers. The study aims to understand how a statistical investigation is conducted based on a real problem identified by the students in a 3rd grade class and how it contributed to the development of their statistical literacy. It was considered essential that the study responded to a problem in the real context of the students in the class, identified by them, and that all the stages of the statistical investigation were developed by making them active agents of their own learning. The research methodology is qualitative in nature and the data was collected through participant observation and documentary collection, using the students' oral and written productions. The results of the study show that the students were able to mobilize all the stages of statistical research, driven to respond to the initial problem posed by them. In this way, it is considered that the approach based on real contexts that are meaningful to the students and the exercise of their agency, mobilizing skills such as initiative and autonomy, has enabled them to develop their statistical literacy.
