Abstract(s)
devido à enorme exposição a elementos biológicos potencialmente contagiosos no diaa-
dia destes profissionais.
This study looks at the risks associated with denture activity in the context of the Covid- 19 pandemic. Although these professionals do not work specifically in direct contact with patients, they are part of the workers with high exposure to Covid-19. Oral health is one of the areas hardest hit by the SARS-CoV2 pandemic, due to the huge exposure to potentially contagious biological elements in the day-to-day lives of these professionals. Through a descriptive and qualitative study will be analyzed the risk factors in the exercise of dental prosthesis, in the context of the pandemic caused by a highly contagious virus, with a high fatality rate. For the study, a literature review on the virus was conducted, addressing the characteristics of the activity of the Dental Technician professional, the means of transmission and the relationship of Covid-19 exposure in dental prosthesis. The main aspects of the risks of cross-contamination between dental clinics and prosthesis laboratories and how these have an impact on Prosthesis Technicians will be analyzed. A proposal for the implementation of preventive/corrective measures was presented with the intention of raising awareness of these professionals.
