O sector farmacêutico é o principal responsável pelo fabrico, distribuição e dispensa de medicamentos, o que lhe confere um caracter decisivo para o bem-estar comunitário.
A competitividade inerente ao mercado farmacêutico exige uma gestão ponderada de recursos humanos e financeiros, pelo que é necessário analisar os custos e benefícios durante todo o ciclo do medicamento.
Esta aproximação racional ao medicamento, visa não só assegurar a prosperidade económica do sector farmacêutico, como também auxiliar o esboço de estratégias de rentabilização mediante as alternativas existentes.
Producing a medicinal substance involves a set of expensive and long-term processes, until it reaches a marketing phase. The pharmaceutical industry is responsible for the manufacture, distribution and dispensation of medicines, which allows it to play a major role in community well-being. The competitiveness inherent to the pharmaceutical market requires a careful management of human and financial resources, so it is necessary to analyze the costs and benefits throughout the entire drug’s life cycle. This rational approach to medicines, not only ensures the economic prosperity of the pharmaceutical industry but also helps to build profiting strategies according to the existing alternatives
