Abstract(s)
As estradas de baixo tráfego são vias de comunicação importantes, pois a sua
complementaridade à rede nacional e municipal é fundamental. São importantes para garantir a
acessibilidade a algumas populações e o escoamento do produto das suas atividades económicas. Na
pavimentação de estradas tem-se presenciado uma evolução técnica que é extremamente importante.
O pavimento de uma estrada pode ter várias funções tais como, trabalhar como uma estrutura de
engenharia e satisfazer os requisitos funcionais.
A presente dissertação visa a associação de determinados tipos de pavimentos à classificação
de estrada de baixo tráfego existente. No fundo, pretende criar-se uma ferramenta teórica para
enquadrar o caso de estudo. Neste caso, uma estrada elaborada pelo Regimento de Engenharia nº1
(RE1).
É descrito o processo de dimensionamento de um pavimento com vista a ser utilizado no caso
de estudo. Utilizou-se o catálogo de pavimentação sugerido na bibliografia para fazer uma análise
comparativa do caso de estudo qualitativamente. É analisada a utilização e constituição da estrada,
mais especificamente o tipo de materiais utilizados, o número e a espessura das camadas na execução
da mesma. Por fim, enquadrou-se o caso de estudo nos catálogos anteriormente propostos e
identificam-se possíveis melhorias a implementar.
Conclui-se que o pavimento utilizado no caso de estudo é o correto, fazendo-se apenas ligeiras
recomendações de aperfeiçoamento que poderão levar a um melhor desempenho do mesmo e também
a uma redução de custos. É necessário garantir a uma manutenção da estrada e do seu pavimento de
modo a garantir uma maior duração do mesmo.
Low-volume roads are important means of communication, since their complementarity to the national and municipal network is fundamental. They are important to guarantee the accessibility to some populations and the disposal of the product of their economic activities. In the paving of roads has been witnessed a technical evolution that is extremely important. The pavement of a road can have several functions such as, work as an engineering structure and meet the functional requirements. The present dissertation aims at the association of certain types of pavements with the existing low volume roads classification. In the background, it intends to create a theoretical tool to frame the case study. In this case, a road elaborated by the Engineering Regiment nº1 (RE1). It is described the process of sizing a floor to be used in the case study. The paving catalog suggested in the bibliography was used to make a comparative analysis of the case study qualitatively. The use and constitution of the road is analyzed, more specifically the type of materials used, the number and the thickness of the layers in the execution of the same. Finally, the study case was framed in the previously proposed catalogs and possible improvements are identified. It is concluded that the floor used in the case study is the correct one, making only slight refinement recommendations that could lead to a better performance of the floor and a reduction of costs. It is necessary to ensure the maintenance of the road and its pavement to guarantee a longer duration of the road.
