Abstract(s)
O presente trabalho tem como objeto de investigação “A adesão de Portugal ao Movement Coordination Centre Europe”, tendo-se proposto analisar a adesão de Portugal a este Centro, com vista a agilizar a capacidade de transporte estratégico de forças militares. Neste sentido, analisam-se as potencialidades deste Organismo Multinacional, caracterizam-se os modos de transporte estratégico das Forças Nacionais Destacadas e analisa-se o impacto atual da adesão de Portugal ao Centro na capacidade de transporte estratégico das Forças Armadas portuguesas.
Para a concretização destes objetivos, a metodologia seguida baseou-se num raciocínio indutivo, aliado a uma estratégia qualitativa e a um desenho de pesquisa consubstanciado no estudo comparativo entre a realidade internacional e a realidade portuguesa no que concerne ao transporte estratégico.
A pesquisa realizada concluiu que a forma como a adesão de Portugal ao Movement Coordination Centre Europe pode contribuir para agilizar a capacidade de transporte estratégico de forças militares passa por integrar, no processo de planeamento dos Ramos da projeção, sustentação e retração de Forças, uma consulta a este Organismo, através do Centro de Controlo de Movimentos nacional. Paralelamente, os Ramos deverão executar um planeamento anual rigoroso dos transportes que preveem efetuar e partilharem-no para colaborar no ambiente multinacional. Abstract: This academic research paper focuses in "accession of Portugal to the Movement Coordination Centre Europe ", analyzing the accession of Portugal to this Center in order to streamline the strategic transport capacity of military forces. In particular, it analyzes the potentialities of the Multinational Organization, it characterizes the strategic transport modes of the Detached National Forces and it analyzes the current impact of Portugal's accession to the Centre in the strategic transport capability of the Portuguese Armed Forces.
In order to achieve these objectives, the methodology followed was based on an inductive reasoning, combined with a qualitative strategy and a research design based on a comparative study between the international reality and the Portuguese reality regarding strategic transport.
The research concludes that the way in which Portugal's accession to the Movement Coordination Center Europe may contribute to the strategic transport capability of military forces, stands on a consultation with this Organization through the national Movement Control Center, during the planning process of Navy, Army and Air Force for deployment, sustainment and re-deployment of military forces. At the same time, they must carry out yearly planning of the transport to carry out and share it in this multinational environment.
