Este estudo analisa o impacto dos influencers digitais e do efeito de comunidade na rede social Instagram na prática de atividade física entre os portugueses, sublinhando a relevância do exercício físico para a saúde pública. Considerando o sedentarismo como um fator de risco significativo, investiga de que forma estas figuras influentes conseguem motivar os seus seguidores a adotar hábitos mais saudáveis, tendo em conta variáveis sociodemográficas como o género, a faixa etária e o rendimento mensal bruto. Através de uma abordagem quantitativa, baseada em questionários online, explora a relação entre os conteúdos partilhados pelos influencers e a adoção de estilos de vida ativos, com vista ao desenvolvimento de estratégias mais eficazes na promoção da saúde e na redução da inatividade em Portugal.
This study investigates the impact of digital influencers and the sense of community on the social media platform Instagram in promoting physical activity among the Portuguese population, highlighting the importance of exercise for public health. Recognizing sedentary behavior as a significant risk factor, it explores how these influential figures motivate their followers to adopt healthier habits, considering sociodemographic variables such as gender, age group and gross monthly income. Through a quantitative approach, based on online surveys, the research examines the connection between the content shared by influencers and the adoption of active lifestyles, aiming to develop more effective strategies for health promotion and reducing inactivity in Portugal.
