Abstract(s)
mediador/a.
The present report carried out within the scope of the Master in Pre-School Education, with the title “Interaction and Management of Interpeer Conflicts in Childhood Education: Expressing Senses, Experiences and Learning of Children and Adults”, has as main objective to understand the role of the Educator in conflict management. This theme emerged after observing these events in childhood contexts and my intention is to demystify conflicts by showing that they are part of children's social development. Regarding the methodology, this project was developed based on a qualitative investigation, following the action-research methodology. With regard to collection procedures, observation, with the respective records (field notes), cooperative reflections, document analysis, semi-structured interviews and the processing of information was done through content analysis. In the development of this report, I understood that promoting moments of sharing and cooperation between children are the key elements for conflict management and how essential it is for the educator, in the face of these, to assume a mediator posture. Sharing and cooperation are key moments as they promote the development of social skills, building healthy relationships, constructively resolving conflicts, developing communication skills, empathy, preparing for life in society, stimulating cognitive development and the reduction of aggressive and selfish behaviors.
