Abstract(s)
motivação, a satisfação, expectativas atuais e futuras.
The importance attributed to the social fabric of organizations has grown over time, becoming one of its cornerstones, and is even more evident in a structure such as the PSP. Therefore, it is essential to know the motivational state of people and what expectations they place in their professional future. This work follows on from a previous investigation, continuing the evolution of knowledge in this area, in an attempt to add scientific value to the existing collection. This investigation included a study on the motivations of the students of the 8th PSP Agent Training Course, regarding their career and expectations for the future. Therefore, this study aims to use the same instruments, in the same universe, and verify the results after about a decade at the service of the PSP, investigating the current state of motivation, satisfaction, current and future expectations. The collected data were examined using descriptive statistics, including the determination of means, frequencies and standard deviations, as well as inferential methods, as was done in the comparative study. For the latter, Pearson's correlation coefficient was used. The results revealed that police officers feel more unmotivated due to low wages, working conditions and time-consuming transfers to the Command of residence or place of birth. We understand that it is extremely important to know these data, in an attempt to achieve strategies capable of mitigating and solving them. From this investigation, it is concluded that leadership can be one of the best tools available to the PSP, to combat the decrease in the level of motivation.
