Abstract(s)
aplicadas pelos profissionais de enfermagem em cada contexto de ensino clínico;
Saúde Infantil e Pediátrica permite-me assegurar doravante cuidados especializados
Promoting the comfort of children and their families has been a growing concern over time. It is through the promotion of comfort, a healthy environment and relief that it is possible to promote the humanization of care. The theory that underpins the interventions and the theme of this report is Katharine Kolcaba's Comfort Theory, which allows an analysis of internal and external factors of the child, as well as the different contexts in which they are inserted. The following objectives were defined for this training path: Satisfy the needs for comfort-promoting care, taking into account the children's stages of early development; Identify the comfort-promoting strategies applied by nursing professionals in each clinical teaching context; Develop common and specific EESIP skills to promote child and family comfort in hospital and community health care contexts. It was possible to develop common, specific and master skills throughout the four internship contexts, namely: In the Pediatric Emergency Service, the theme of pain relief and promotion of comfort was developed, as well as promoting the use of the Buzzy device®; In Pediatric Hospitalization, the areas of infant massage and therapeutic positioning of premature newborns were streamlined; In the Neonatal Intensive and Intermediate Care Unit, a project was developed to renovate the parents' room as well as a project to continuously improve the quality of care in the infant massage area; Finally, at the Personalized Health Care Unit, a project was carried out to obtain a Buzzy® device for vaccinating children. Therefore, obtaining the Master's degree and the title of Specialist in Child and Pediatric Health Nursing allows me to ensure specialized care from now on, always guaranteeing continuous quality improvement based on the best and most current scientific evidence.
