dc.description.abstractA Estratégia Militar Terrestre traduz o pensamento e a orientação estratégica, sobre o desenvolvimento e a utilização das forças terrestres, à luz de uma análise quanto aos desafios futuros e à sua influência sobre o instrumento militar terrestre. Na ausência de um Conceito Estratégico Militar Terrestre, de maior prevalência temporal, esta investigação pretende estabelecer um conjunto de contributos que, numa perspetiva de médio e longo prazo, possam concorrer para a formulação de uma Estratégia Militar Terrestre nacional. Para esse efeito, desenvolveu-se uma análise documental e realizaram-se diversas entrevistas, relativamente a tendências de evolução do contexto estratégico e operacional e a elementos do potencial do Exército. Os dados obtidos convergiram na dedução de Linhas de Orientação Estratégica e na definição de Objetivos Estratégicos, nos diferentes âmbitos genético-regenerativo, estrutural e operacional. Os resultados obtidos quanto às tendências políticas, económicas, sociais, tecnológicas, ambientais e militares, e às possibilidades de ajustamento do Exército a estas tendências, permitiram consubstanciar um contributo para uma Estratégia Militar Terrestre nacional, de médio e longo prazo, em nove Objetivos Estratégicos e 34 Linhas de Orientação Estratégica, segundo perspetivas estratégicas, valores e uma visão para o futuro do Exército.pt_PT
dc.description.abstractThe Land Military Strategy reflects the strategic thinking and guidance, on the development and employment of land forces, in the light of an analysis of future challenges and their influence on the land military instrument. In the absence of a Land Military Strategic Concept, with greater temporal prevalence, this study aimed to establish a set of contributions that, in a medium and long-term perspective, could contribute to the formulation of a national Land Military Strategy. To that end, a documental analysis was carried out and several interviews were conducted, regarding trends in the evolution of the strategic and operational context and elements of the Army's potential. The resulting data converged in a settlement of Strategic Guidelines and Objectives, in the different genetic-regenerative, structural, and operational scopes. The outcomes of political, economic, social, technological, environmental, and military trends, and the possibilities for the Army to adjust to these trends, allowed to gather nine Strategic Objectives and 34 Strategic Guidelines in a contribution to a national, medium and long-term Land Military Strategy, according to strategic perspectives, values and a vision for the future of the Army.pt_PT
