Abstract(s)
Feline triadite is a relatively common syndrome characterized by the concurrent presence of: cholangitis, pancreatitis and inflammatory bowel disease. Although its etiopathogenesis is not fully understood, it seems to be related to an inflammatory or immunological response to enteric bacteria, and feline triadite may have pancreatitis or intestinal inflammation as primary disease. Given the complexity of the etiopathology of feline triadite its definitive diagnosis is fundamental for the success of the treatment. Clinical, laboratory, and imaging data may contribute to the understanding of this syndrome, but its definitive diagnosis is based on histopathological evaluation. Once the histopathological diagnosis is achieved treatment should be implemented towards individualized and symptomatic approach of the feline.
