Introdução: A Limpeza da via aérea comprometida verifica-se nos clientes com reflexo de tosse
ausente ou alteração da eficácia da tosse, o que ocorre frequentemente na Pessoa em Situação
Crítica. Perante este diagnóstico, ocorre acumulação de secreções nas vias aéreas, e
consequentemente, o compromisso respiratório ou até mesmo falência respiratória. Assim,
considerando o papel dos enfermeiros na gestão e na prestação de cuidados à Pessoa em
Situação Crítica, com compromisso do sistema respiratório, demonstra-se relevante o
desenvolvimento de competências de enfermagem, no que respeita a esta área temática.
Ressalvando que, neste percurso de aprendizagem, a mesma temática constituiu um pretexto
em prol da consecução das competências de enfermagem preconizadas.
Objetivos: Desenvolver competências comuns e específicas do Enfermeiro Especialista em
Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica, na área de Enfermagem à Pessoa em Situação Crítica, em
conformidade com o descrito nos Regulamentos n.º 429/2018 e n.º 140/2019, com enfoque na
identificação, vigilância e gestão do cliente com Limpeza da via aérea comprometida; Analisar
de forma crítica e reflexiva o percurso de aprendizagem realizado nos diferentes contextos de
estágio de natureza profissional.
Conclusões: O resultado das experiências, vivências e reflexões efetuadas ao longo dos
contextos de estágio, reuniões de orientação e trabalho autónomo, pode resumir-se à posse de
um conjunto de competências especializadas que irão sustentar a prática clínica,
nomeadamente competências no domínio da prática profissional, ética e legal, prestação e
gestão de cuidados no âmbito do Mestrado em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica, na área de
Enfermagem à Pessoa em Situação Crítica. Ao aliar o percurso teórico com o da prática clínica
em contexto de estágio de natureza profissional, reconheço os excelentes contributos deste
percurso de dedicação, trabalho e aprendizagem para o meu crescimento pessoal e profissional.
Introduction: Compromised airway cleanse occurs in clients with an absent cough reflex or altered cough efficiency, which is common in critically ill patients. With this diagnosis, secretions accumulate in the airways, resulting in respiratory compromise or even respiratory failure. Thus, considering the role of nurses in managing and providing care to critically ill patients with a compromised respiratory system, the development of nursing skills in this area is important. It should be noted that, in this learning process, this subject was a pretext for achieving the recommended nursing competences. Objectives: To develop common and specific competences of the Attending Nurse in Medical- Surgical Nursing, in the area of Nursing for the Critically Ill Patient, in accordance with Regulations no. 429/2018 and no. 140/2019, with a focus on the identification, monitoring and management of the client with Compromised airway clearance; To critically and reflectively analyse the learning path carried out in the different professional contexts of the internship. Conclusions: The result of the experiences and reflections made throughout the internship, and the orientation meetings and the autonomous work carried out, can be summed up as the possession of a set of specialised skills that will support clinical practice, namely skills in the field of professional, ethical and legal practice, as well as care provision and care management within the scope of the Master's Degree in Medical-Surgical Nursing, in the area of Nursing for the Critically Ill Patient. By combining theory with clinical practice in the context of a professional internship, I recognise the excellent contributions this journey of dedication, work and learning has made to my personal and professional growth.
