O presente Relatório de Projeto de Investigação é desenvolvido sob o tema “A natureza dentro e fora da sala”, tendo como questão de investigação “Como potenciar
a relação das crianças com a natureza em contexto de creche e jardim-de-infância?”, dando relevância à necessidade de uma Educação de Infância que integre o contato com
a natureza nos processos de aprendizagem, contribuindo assim para o desenvolvimento das crianças numa perspetiva holística. A pesquisa centra-se em identificar estratégias e
práticas que superem os obstáculos relativamente à interação entre as crianças e a natureza, baseadas em leituras de obras, autores de referência e momentos formativos
onde foram apresentadas práticas de educadoras de infância onde a natureza este presente proporcionando aprendizagens significativas. A investigação é baseada numa abordagem qualitativa como a observação, o registo fotográfico, as notas de campo e a entrevista, que ajudaram a captar as perceções das educadoras de infância e as experiências das crianças, oferecendo uma compreensão sobre as práticas pedagógicas e a inclusão de atividades, tendo em atenção às interações com a natureza. Com esta investigação compreendi a importância da integração de atividades que promovam o contato com a natureza favorecem o desenvolvimento da criança a nível cognitivo, afetivo, social, físico e de compreensão ambiental, que com a reformulação e a capacitação das educadoras de infância podem auxiliar a transformar a sua prática educativa, no sentido de valorizar as práticas no espaço exterior e em contato com anatureza ou trazendo a natureza para dentro da sala.
This Research Project Report is on the theme “Nature Inside and Outside the Classroom,” with the guiding question: “How can we strengthen children’s relationship with nature in nurseries and kindergartens?”, it highlights the need for early childhood education that includes direct contact with nature in learning, supporting children’s development in a holistic way. The research focuses on finding strategies and practices to overcome obstacles to children’s interaction with nature, drawing on books, key authors and training sessions that showcased how early childhood educators use nature to create meaningful learning experiences. The research uses qualitative methods like observation, interviews, photographs, and field notes, to capture educators’ perspectives and children’s experiences, giving insight into teaching methods and how nature-based activities are integrated. Through this research, I gained a practical understanding of how nature activities support children’s cognitive, emotional, social, physical and environmental development. By redesigning practices and training educators, we can transform teaching to value outdoor spaces and nature or bring natural elements into the classroom.
