| dc.description.abstract | In this visual culture project where different fields of study are merged - from psychology to photography and performance project, the objective of the researcher is to uncover her own identity as a woman and photographer by producing a series of photographic self-portraits that seek to develop her identity and empowerment as a female artist. Through reflecting on her inner creative drive as an artist and submerging herself into the study of Jungian dream analysis and therapeutic photography practices, while focusing on expressing herself through performance for the camera, the researcher seeks to explore the realm of her own dreams in order to generate a self-understanding that will lead to the process of individuation, female empowerment, and true identity. The account of this practice of visual and performative self-portraiture can provide others with an entrusted methodology of creative investigation that aids to find one’s true identity and self. | pt_PT |
