Abstract(s)
Throughout this report we reflect, as part of pre-school education, the importance of symbolic game in the development and child learning and as a facilitator of education for gender equality. In the theoretical framework we discussed the development of the child through play activities and highlight the symbolic game in kindergarten and its importance in the education of children in offspring of equal opportunities, particularly in terms of gender equality. The methodology used in this study was the action research, understanding it as an opportunity to study the educational process in kindergarten and as a training opportunity. During the study were promoted activities under the theme of gender identity and we concluded that children include in their daily games " lines " or " attitudes " that demonstrate the gender differences, which is necessary that the educator is alert and intervene to help the child to dismantle gender stereotypes. The data we collect near the children help us concluded that they daily is marked by social stereotypes being extremely important to help them build ideas and attitudes consistent with the equal opportunities in general, and in particular gender equality. The data we collect near the Educators help us concluded that education professionals should focus increasingly on intentional and planned activities that make the citizen children more solidarity and with sense of equality.
