| dc.description.abstract | O fenómeno do envelhecimento da população é, atualmente uma das principais problemáticas a nível mundial, com principal relevância para os países desenvolvidos. Este fenómeno é caracterizado por um vasto conjunto de alterações fisiológicas, psicológicas e sociais. Pelo exposto torna-se importante que se promovam estratégias que contribuam para o envelhecimento ativo e o bem-estar dos idosos. O presente trabalho de investigação avaliou o impacto das novas tecnologias como forma de combate ao isolamento social. Para o efeito estudou-se a ciência que opera nessa área – a Gerontotecnologia e a forma como esta promove o bem-estar dos idosos, um envelhecimento ativo e restringe as suas limitações. A investigação realizada permitiu a planificação de um projeto que reúne a teoria e a põe em prática. O projeto “Cabo da Boa Esperança” é o resultado de uma investigação que mostra ser possível edificar um projeto de cariz social que vai de encontro aos objetivos da gerontotecnologia: a melhoria da qualidade de vida dos idosos e a prática de um envelhecimento ativo e integrante na sociedade atual. | dc.description.abstract | The aging phenomenon of the population is, nowadays, one of the most problematic worldwide, with special attention to the developed countries. This phenomenon is marked by a huge group of physiological, psychological and social change. As mentioned above, becomes important to promote strategies that contribute to an active aging and well-being of the aged people. This investigation work measured the impact of the new technologies as a way of fight the social isolation. To achieve this goal, the human being studied the science that works in this area - the Gerontechnology and the way that promotes the well- being of old ones, an active aging and decreases their limitations. The search allows the planning of a project that combines the theory and puts it into practice. The project "Cabo da Boa Esperança” is the result of an investigation that show the possibility to build a social project that goes into the targets of Gerontechnology: improving the quality of life of older ones and the practice of an active aging and included in today's society. Concluding, it puts an older human in a new social role that needs an interaction between generations. | pt_PT |
