Os Recursos Humanos estão presentes na estrutura de qualquer organização, fomentados pela necessidade da gestão da sua força de trabalho, que contribui para o desempenho de funções e o alcançar dos objetivos. A perceção que cada indivíduo possui relativamente ao funcionamento dos Recursos Humanos, é transmitida no seu dia-a-dia, através do grau de eficiência que os mesmos empregam na execução de cada função.
A presente investigação está delimitada pelo objetivo que esta procura atingir, nomeadamente, investigar o alinhamento entre as perceções dos militares e as práticas de RH implementadas na Zona Militar dos Açores. Definiu-se que a investigação será baseada num estudo de caso exploratório, referente à Zona Militar dos Açores. Para atingir este objetivo, a investigação adota uma abordagem mista, com uma componente qualitativa, assim como, quantitativa, analisando informações que possuem ambas as características. A recolha de informações preliminar, foi realizada através de uma análise documental, onde foi explorada a literatura existente sobre o tema em estudo. Posteriormente, recorreu-se à realização de inquéritos por entrevista e por questionário, a fim de verificar o funcionamento da estrutura de Recursos Humanos no Exército e na Zona Militar dos Açores, bem como, averiguar as perceções que os militares em funções nesta região possuem sobre as práticas de Recursos Humanos. Os resultados adquiridos, permitem aferir o alinhamento existente entre as perceções e as práticas, verificando a existência de vulnerabilidades, que contribuem para a ineficácia dos Recursos Humanos existentes na Zona Militar dos Açores. A investigação apresenta em conclusão, aspetos que estão no seio das vulnerabilidades apresentadas, assim como, medidas que contribuem para o melhoramento da execução das práticas de Recursos Humanos na Zona Militar dos Açores.
Human Resources are present in the structure of any organization, encouraged by the need to manage its workforce, which contributes to the development of functions and the achievement of objectives. The perception that each individual has regarding the functioning of human resources is transmitted in their day-to-day life, through the degree of efficiency that they employ in the performance of each function. The present investigation is bounded by the objective it seeks to achieve, namely, to investigate the alignment between the perceptions of the military and the Human Resources practices implemented in the Military Zone of the Azores. It was defined that the investigation will be based on an exploratory case study, referring to the Military Zone of the Azores. To achieve this objective, the investigation adopts a qualitative as well as a quantitative approach, analyzing information that has both characteristics. The preliminary collection of information was carried out through a document analysis, where the existing literature on the subject under study was explored. Subsequently, surveys were carried out by interview and by questionnaire, in order to verify the functioning of the Human Resources structure in the Army and in the Military Zone of the Azores, as well as to investigate the perceptions that the military in function in this region have about Human Resources practices. The acquired results allow assessing the existing alignment between perceptions and practices, verifying the existence of vulnerabilities, which contribute to the ineffectiveness of existing Human Resources in the Military Zone of the Azores. The investigation presents, in conclusion, aspects that are at the heart of the vulnerabilities presented, as well as measures that contribute to the improvement of the execution of Human Resources practices in the Military Zone of the Azores. It is recommended that future investigations seek to verify the implementation of such measures and the subsequent effects that they may have on the Human Resources structure of the Military Zone of the Azores.
