No entanto,
fatores contextuais e sociais influenciam a Formação
destes programas.
educativas e currículos de pós-graduações no domínio do
indústria e as transformações sociais emergentes.
Executive Education is a strategic bridge between academia, business and society, with the potential to develop technical and leadership skills and act as an agent of organisational change. However, gaps remain in cooperation between higher education institutions and businesses, particularly in the integration of executive programmes with professional practice, which is often limited by a lack of strategic vision. This research sought to answer the question of how contextual and social factors influence Executive Education in the Interactive Digital Systems Design domain and how these should be used in the strategic planning of curriculum design. To this end, a ten-year longitudinal case study was used, employing interviews, document analysis and participant observation, involving key academic and business stakeholders. The results identify structural barriers, success factors and relational dynamics that shape the effectiveness of these programmes. The main contribution is the proposal of a conceptual framework that systematises these influences and guides the development of educational strategies and postgraduate curricula in the field of Interactive Digital Systems Design. This framework offers value both to the academic community, by advancing understanding of Executive Education in design, and to institutions, by supporting the creation of programmes more aligned with industry demands and emerging social transformations.
