A hospitalização da criança constitui uma experiência que origina grandes mudanças na vida da criança e
da família. As necessidades dos pais da criança hospitalizada são inúmeras, mas as necessidades de
informação e formação são onde o enfermeiro especialista em enfermagem de saúde infantil e pediátrica
devem intervir através da promoção e educação para a saúde.
Utilizamos a metodologia de trabalho projeto para desenvolver um projeto de intervenção em
enfermagem subordinado à temática da satisfação das necessidades dos pais da criança hospitalizada
com objetivo de promover educação para a saúde destes pais em contexto dum serviço de internamento
de pediatria, seguindo a linha de investigação “Necessidades em cuidados de enfermagem em populações
específicas”.
O presente relatório pretende refletir criticamente sobre as atividades desenvolvidas ao longo dos
estágios e sobre a aquisição e desenvolvimento das competências do enfermeiro especialista em
enfermagem de saúde infantil e pediátrica e de mestre, bem como descrever a implementação e as fases
do projeto de intervenção em enfermagem durante o nosso percurso.
Concluímos que o papel do Enfermeiro Especialista na promoção da educação para a saúde e na satisfação
das necessidades dos pais da criança hospitalizada é fundamental e proporciona a obtenção de ganhos
em saúde para a população.
Hospitalization of children is an experience that brings major changes in the life of the child and the family. The needs of the parents of the hospitalized child are numerous, but the information and training needs are where the nurse specialist in children's and pediatric health nursing must intervene through health promotion and education. We used the methodology of project work to develop a nursing intervention project subordinated to the thematic of the satisfaction of the needs of the parents of hospitalized children with the objective of promoting education for the health of these parents in the context of a pediatric internment service, following the research line “Nursing care needs in specific populations”. This report intends to critically reflect on the activities carried out during the internships and on the acquisition and development of the competences of the nurse specialist in child and pediatric and master health nursing, as well as describe the implementation and phases of the nursing intervention project. during our journey. We conclude that the role of the Specialist Nurse in the promotion of health education and in meeting the needs of the parents of the hospitalized child is essential and provides the health gains for the population.
