Abstract(s)
Os Comportamentos Políticos representam um domínio singular das relações interpessoais no
ambiente de trabalho, podendo, então, as organizações ser consideradas como sistemas da
actividade política, onde diferentes conjuntos de interesses, conflitos e jogos de poder
moldam as suas actividades. Existem contextos que potenciam o recrudescimento da
actividade política, nomeadamente os contextos de mudança organizacional.
É neste contexto que este trabalho foi realizado e a Fidelidade Companhia e Seguros, S. A.,
disponibilizou-se a ser estudada. Assim estudou-se a relevância que a Política Organizacional
teve / tem na gestão da mudança após várias fusões, mediante o seu impacto na consolidação
da nova Cultura Organizacional.
É um estudo correlacional quantitativo, operacionalizado através de um questionário aplicado,
a nível nacional, a uma amostra representativa.
Os resultados obtidos comprovam as hipóteses teórico-práticas, com significância estatística,
verificando-se a existência duma relação entre Comportamento Político e Cultura
Organizacional.
Verificam-se, o impacto dos Comportamentos Políticos na Cultura Organizacional e
respectiva mudança, apresentando-se sugestões de consolidação na nova cultura através da
gestão diferenciada das diferentes estratégias políticas.
Political Behavior represents a frequent domain/area of people-to-people relationships in the working environment, therefore, organizations may be considered as systems of political activity, in which different groups of interests, conflicts and power games shape their activities. There are situations that enhance the increase of political activity, namely situations of organizational change. This project work was developed in this context and the insurance company “Fidelidade Companhia de Seguros, S.A.”, showed availability to provide all the necessary means and make this study possible. Hence, this project attempts to study the relevance that Organizational Politics had/has to the management of change, after several fusions, by means of its impact upon the strengthening of the new Organizational Culture. This correlative numerical study was made possible through a questionnaire filled in by a representative sample at national level. The outcome proves the theoretical-practical hypothesis and the existence of a relation between Political Behavior and Organizational Culture is checked. The impact of Political Behavior upon Organizational Culture (and concerned Change) is unmistakable, and suggestions to the strengthening of the new culture are put forward through differentiated management of the distinct political strategies.
