Abstract(s)
This article intends to analyse the teaching and learning methodology adopted in a 3rd and 4th grade classroom (1.º Ciclo) and the use of technologies involved. The teacher has chosen a constructivist methodology approach centralized on the students’ work and its presentation to their colleagues’ appreciation and critique. Along the work, we were not only able to see the presence of technology as a support to the chosen learning content [space and stars] but it has also permitted the development of technologies’ skills itself. The development of such skills comes forward as being of high contemporary relevance either due to its present increasing importance in personal, education and work contexts and, consequently, its useful role in the student’s future, as well as the significant value given to these skills by the Portuguese Ministry of Education.
