Abstract(s)
This research project report was developed within the scope of the master’s degree in Pre-School Education and is based on experiences and insights gained during the internship periods in kindergarten and nursery school. The theme addressed in this project focuses on the promotion of children's autonomy through their daily routine and has as research question "How is it possible to develop/improve the autonomy of children articulating with their daily routines? The research was developed according to the action research methodology, following a qualitative approach and interpretative paradigm. The methods for information collection are based on participatory observation, field notes, photographic and video records, document analysis and questionnaire survey to the cooperating educators. According to the observations and the interventions made during the training period, they will be interpreted using the relevant theoretical basis regarding the contribution of daily routines in the promotion of children's autonomy. The interventions aimed to develop and improve autonomy according to the various moments of the routine, to promote an environment of independence, participation, responsibility, and autonomy on the part of children, both in kindergarten and nursery school. This development and/or improvement process implies reflections on the practices and interventions and attention to the children's needs and interests
