Abstract(s)
O presente trabalho de investigação versa sobre o tema “O programa Apoio 65 –
Idosos em Segurança”.
Na sequência do presente estudo formularam-se questões e hipóteses de
investigação que procuraram dar resposta à questão central levantada: “Qual é a
eficácia/importância do programa Apoio 65 ─ Idosos em Segurança na zona ação do
Destacamento Territorial de Santa Comba Dão, para o alcance dos objetivos genéricos do
mesmo.”
O objetivo desta investigação será começar por dar resposta à questão central
levantada. Pretende-se, também, descrever e analisar os principais crimes que afetam os idosos, assim como analisar os dados do levantamento dos idosos a viver isolados, na zona de ação do Destacamento Territorial de Santa Comba Dão.
Assim, esta investigação iniciar-se-á com uma componente teórica, fundamentada
numa pesquisa bibliográfica, seguida de uma componente prática, correspondente à
realização de entrevistas que permitam obter respostas para a questão central em apreço.
Estas duas componentes culminam com as conclusões resultantes do processo de
investigação.
O presente trabalho de investigação aplicada possibilitou concluir que o trabalho da
Secção de Programas Especiais, no âmbito do apoio ao idoso, centra-se um pouco à volta das ações de sensibilização. Este ano em concreto, também, executaram o levantamento dos idosos a viver isolados. Dos crimes analisados, o mais praticados contra os idosos, na zona em estudo, é o crime de burla. Outro ponto que foi possível concluir é que os militares não possuem formação específica para integrar a Secção de Programas Especiais.
Por fim, a implementação da teleassistência seria uma boa medida para melhorar o apoio
ao idoso, em específico daqueles que vivem em situação de isolamento.
Abstract The theme of this research project is: “The Program Support 65 –Security for the Elderly”. From this theme several hypothesis and research questions came to light, which tried to answer the central question: “What is the efficiency/importance of the program Support 65 – Security for the Elderly in the action area of Santa Comba Dão’s Territorial Detachment in terms of reaching its generic objectives?” The aim of this research is to describe and analyze the main crimes that affect the elderly, as well as to analyze the survey data on the elderly who live alone in the above mentioned area. The study starts with a theoretical component, based on literature search, followed by a practical component, corresponding to interviews, which permitted to answer the central question. The last parts of the research are the Conclusions that came out at the end of the research process. From those conclusions it can be stated that the work undertaken by the section of special programs regarding the support of the elderly, is centered upon public awareness campaigns. During the current year, that section has executed a survey with the goal of getting to know the number of elderly living alone. Another conclusion was that, amongst the several types of crimes that were analyzed, the crime of fraud is the most committed crime against elderly people in that geographical area. It was also possible to conclude that the military forces do not have the necessary specific training that would enable them to integrate the special programs’ section. Finally, it can also be stated that the implementation of phone assistance would be a good measure to improve the support given to the elderly, specifically those who live in complete isolation.
