| dc.description.abstract | O presente documento, surge no âmbito do desenvolvimento do Projeto de dissertação, enquadrado no Mestrado em Segurança e Higiene no Trabalho, ministrado no Instituto Politécnico de Setúbal, cujo tema designa-se por “Procedimentos de Segurança a Bordo em Dragagens”, que incide na análise e estudo da comparação de execução de dragagens, a nível nacional e internacional, por forma a conceber procedimentos de segurança a bordo, compatíveis com as diferentes técnicas de execução das dragagens, promovendo a segurança da respetiva tripulação. Foi realizado um levantamento das diferentes técnicas sobre a temática, através do levantamento da legislação e regulamentação aplicada, funções e tarefas a bordo, avaliação de riscos, propostas medidas de mitigação de riscos e elaboração dos procedimentos operacionais e de emergência. Por fim elaborou-se um Manual de Gestão de Segurança e Prevenção da Poluição, com base no Código Internacional de Gestão para a Segurança da Exploração dos navios e a Prevenção da Poluição (código ISM), adaptado às diferentes condições a bordo das respetivas técnicas de dragagem. Este manual engloba procedimentos a serem implementados nas atividades operacionais de dragagem, atividades de manutenção e atividades de prevenção da poluição, a adotar a bordo, por forma a minimizar os impactes ambientais, e promover a segurança, a saúde e a integridade da tripulação, contribuindo para a prevenção de acidentes e incidentes a bordo. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | The present document titled “Safety procedures on board dredging ships” was developed in the context of the dissertation project of the Master in Occupational Safety and Health of the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal. The work focuses on the study and comparative analysis of dredging techniques, at a national and international level, with the aim of designing improved on board safety procedures compatible with the different dredging techniques while promoting the safety and health of the respective crew members. A review of the different techniques regarding the subject was performed through a survey of the applied legislation and regulation along with the on board functions and tasks. Then, a risk assessment was performed leading to the proposal of mitigation measures and elaboration of operational and emergency procedures. Finally, a Handbook of Safety Management and Pollution Prevention was elaborated based on the International Management Code for the Safe Operation of Ships and for Pollution Prevention (ISM code), which is adapted to the different dredging techniques and respective on board conditions. This Handbook encompasses on board procedures to be implemented for dredging operations, maintenance activities and pollution prevention operations with the aim of minimizing environmental impacts while promoting the safety, health and integrity of crew members and contributing to the prevention of on board incidents and accidents. | pt_PT |
