Abstract(s)
O presente relatório pretende espelhar todas as aprendizagens auferidas no
This report intends to reflect all the learning gained during the internship, which promoted a personal and professional evolutionary process. It enabled the acquisition and development of the skills of the Specialist Nurse in Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing and allowed the development of knowledge in therapeutic interventions using expressive mediators, in the recovery process of the person with mental illness. The person with experience with mental illness walks in a process towards their recovery, however, in crisis situations they may experience relapses. Based on the belief that the person is much more than a diagnosis and that they contain great potential within themselves, an internship project was developed based on the prevention of relapse and the promotion of well-being that would provide interior changes, so that, the person is able to lead a satisfying and hopeful life, within the limits imposed by mental illness. A group and individual nursing intervention program was carried out, using expressive mediators, consisting of seven sessions and based on the four domains of the personal recovery model developed by Jérôme Favrod and Agnes Maire, namely: hope; the redefinition of identity; the discovery of a new meaning for life and the responsibility of recovery. After the implementation of the nursing intervention program, it was concluded that these activities provide people with mental illness well-being, expression of feelings and emotions, increased social interaction, a more meaningful and healthy life, greater self-knowledge and still, a more solid possibility of recovery.
