| dc.description.abstract | The internet and its provided services have been growing exponentially since made available to the public. Advances in the processing power capabilities of computers, but also advancements in the form factors used to interact with the machines are also prevalent, and with the rise in popularity of mobile devices, the internet has experienced a very large growth both in users and content diversity. Web Technologies have also grown, with many popular platforms being written in these technologies due to its cross-device and cross-platform capabilities, ease of use, access, and programmability. Tools, programming languages and their supporting technologies have also been growing in functionality, allowing developers to not only in an easier, but also faster manner produce websites and web applications. Due to these advances, interest in developing software is no longer exclusive for computer programmers, and with the appearance of low-code and codeless platforms, tools which provide a user with little or no coding knowledge with the capability of developing a variety of different software, with the outputting result being what the base platform was designed to help conceive. Aligning these two interests, with this thesis we dive into the coding process to better understand how a computer works, how a software is made, the limitations and challenges the developer faces, and translate these processes by using modern web-based tools, into the creation of a codeless, web-based platform capable of creating the most typical data-information oriented software, and by doing so understanding the complexity behind the creation of software and all it’s different use case scenarios. | pt_PT |
