| dc.description.abstract | No mundo globalizado de hoje, vivemos num clima de incerteza, pautado pela desconfiança e insegurança. Com a queda do Muro de Berlim e o fim do mundo bipolar, o que tomávamos como certo e estável alterou-se e tornou-se imprevisível. Atualmente, o Islamismo tem ganho proeminência internacional, assumindo-se como sucessor por direito do lugar desocupado pelo comunismo soviético. Dentro da ideologia islamista, uma franja radical denominada de jihadista, perpetua atos de terrorismo que concorrem com a legitimidade dos Estados-nação ocidentais. Ao longo deste trabalho, pretendemos dar a conhecer o Jihadismo global, vertente jihadista do Islamismo radical que ambiciona destruir os infiéis ocidentais e converter o mundo, quer por força do proselitismo quer por força da jihad. Ao contrário do que tem sido normalmente acalentado, o Islamismo não se resume à prática de atos terroristas. Dissimulados e sob a capa de uma identidade forjada, a versão radical dawah procura radicalizar e recrutar autênticas comunidades muçulmanas e não-muçulmanos na Europa às hostes jihadistas. Desta forma, o que era uma ameaça exterior, tornou-se uma ameaça interior crescente - o Jihadismo doméstico. Numa altura em que novas ameaças surgem, cabe à Europa e aos países ibéricos em particular, adaptarem-se às mudanças, perceber a ameaça e prevenir riscos desnecessários compatíveis com uma visão incipiente da realidade. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | In today's globalized world, we live in a climate of uncertainty marked by mistrust and insecurity. With the fall of the Berlin Wall and the end of the bipolar world, what we took for granted and stable changed and became unpredictable. Today, Islamism has gained international prominence, becoming the successor in law of the place vacated by soviet communism. Inside the Islamist ideology, a radical fringe called jihadist perpetuates acts of terrorism that question with the legitimacy of Western nation-states. With this work, we intend to warn against the global Jihadism, the jihadist strand of radical Islamism that aims to destroy the western infidels and convert the world, either by virtue of proselytism or by virtue of jihad. As we shall give testimony, contrary to what has generally been cherished, Islamism is not limited to acts of terrorism. Concealed under the cover of a forged identity, the dawah radical version seeks to radicalize and recruit within both Muslim and non-Muslim communities in Europe to join the jihad. Thus, what was once an outside threat, has become a growing threat inside Europe - the homegrown Jihadism. At a time when new threats emerge, it is up to Europe and the iberian countries in particular, to adapt to changes, realize the threat and prevent unnecessary risks consistent with a distorted view of reality. | pt_PT |
