Resumo(s)
Este projeto final teve como objetivo desenvolver uma proposta para um projeto de uma
residência de estudantes em Portugal. Para tal, foi feita uma análise de vários alojamentos estudantis
com a finalidade de conhecer quais as necessidades atuais para um determinado nicho da
população, que, no caso, é constituído por jovens. Foi necessário entender qual a problemática
atual, nomeadamente a satisfação durante a estadia numa unidade destas e encontrar onde poderia
existir uma oportunidade de melhoria com base no que já foi investigado.
Foram abordados diferentes tópicos cuja interpretação fez com que fosse possível chegar a
uma solução para o problema. Através de dados secundários foram obtidas informações que são
relevantes para o estudo, tais como que tipos de residências de estudantes existem, como são
definidas, qual a preferência dos estudantes, que exemplos possuímos em Portugal, quais os aspetos
negativos e que factores deverão ser tomados em consideração de modo a que futuramente os
alojamentos estudantis tenham impacto positivo nas gerações futuras. É verdade que as
universidades e as suas infra estruturas de apoios têm demonstrado um crescente interesse em
avaliar as necessidades dos jovens e estudar o nível de satisfação dos mesmos, dado que a vida
dentro de uma residência tende a moldar a personalidade do aluno e dessa forma influenciar o seu
desempenho académico.
De modo a conseguir encontrar uma solução ideal, foram avaliados conjuntos de
recomendações com base no design de interiores, que deram resposta a alguns problemas
encontrados no alojamento estudantil.
This final project aimed to develop a proposal for a student residence project in Portugal. To do this, an analysis of several student residences was made with the purpose of knowing what the current needs are for a certain niche of the population, which, in this case, is young people. It was necessary to understand what the current problems are in relation to them, namely satisfaction during a stay in one of these units and to find out where there could be an opportunity for improvement based on what has already been researched. Different topics were approached whose interpretation made it possible to understand and reach a solution to the problem. Through secondary data, information that is relevant to the study was obtained, such as what types of student residences exist, how they are defined, what the preference of students is, what examples we have in Portugal, what the negative aspects are, and what factors should be taken into consideration so that in the future student residences will have a positive impact on future generations. It is true that universities and their support infrastructures have shown a growing interest in assessing young people's needs and studying their level of satisfaction since life inside a residence tends to shape a student's personality and thus influence his or her academic performance. In order to be able to find an optimal solution, sets of recommendations based on interior design were evaluated, which provided answers to some problems encountered in student housing.
