Abstract(s)
Posteriormente à definição do aspeto anatómico do sorriso, bem como as bases neurológicas das emoções, serão também descritas as características orais de um sorriso harmonioso. Será analisada a evolução do sorriso, bem como as suas implicações sociais e psicológicas, ao longo da vida. Por fim, será descrita a história do sorriso e seu simbolismo ao longo dos séculos e progresso técnico da Medicina Dentária, acompanhando o aparecimento gradual de dentes na representação do sorriso. Este estudo histórico foi ilustrado por obras de arte representativas de cada época.
O nosso objetivo será de fazer um state of the art da evolução do sorriso : analisar como o sorriso é influenciado pelos avanços técnicos e socioculturais através do tempo, fazendo uma perspetiva histórica e artística da sua evolução.
After defining the anatomical aspect of the smile as well as the neurological bases of the emotions, we will describe the oral characteristics of a harmonious smile. We will analyze the evolution of the smile and its social and psychological implications in the course of life. Finally, we will study the history of the smile and its symbolism over the centuries. This historical study will be illustrated by works of art representative of each era. We will also see the technical progress of dentistry along with the gradual appearance of teeth in smiling. Our goal will be to make a state of the art of smile evolution: to analyze how smile is influenced by technical and socio-cultural advances through time, making a historical and artistic perspective of its evolution.
Après avoir défini l’aspect anatomique du sourire ainsi que les bases neurologiques des émotions, nous décrirons les caractéristiques orales d’un sourire harmonieux. Nous analyserons l’évolution du sourire et de ses implications sociales et psychologiques au cours de la vie. Pour finir nous étudierons l’Histoire du sourire et son symbolisme au cours des siècles. Cette étude historique sera illustrée par des oeuvres d’art représentatives de chaque époque. Nous verrons aussi les progrès techniques de l’art dentaire ont accompagné l’apparition progressive des dents durant le sourire. Notre objectif sera de faire un state of the art de l’évolution du sourire : analyser comment celui-ci est influencé par les avancées techniques et socioculturelles à travers le temps, faire une perspective historique et artistique de son évolution.
