Abstract(s)
melhoria.
This project report is part of the Master's Degree in Energy Engineering and Management in Industry and Buildings at ESTSetúbal-Polytechnic University of Setúbal, and consists of laying the foundations for the integration of energy management based on standard ISO 50001:2018 into a management system of a logistics company. The methodology followed to prepare this report considered, in the first part, the characterization and energy diagnosis of the company, with definition of the scope of the study, survey of infrastructures and equipment, monitoring of energy consumption, analysis of data collected with the detection of significant energy users, the determination of energy indicators, baseline consumption and, finally, the presentation of measures to reduce energy consumption. Once the energy diagnosis was completed, in a second part, the bases were developed for the integration of energy management based on standard ISO 50001:2018 in the logistics company under study. We began by characterizing the existing management system (quality and food safety), highlighting what requires more significant intervention when aiming to integrate energy management. The “Energy Management Process” is defined, the sub-processes are detailed and procedures, work instructions and specific records of these sub-processes are also specified in detail. Brief notes are presented on other changes to be introduced in the integrated management system manual and in selected procedures aimed at complying with the requirements of standard ISO 50001:2018. With the conclusion of this project report, the company analyzed (or another in the same field of activity) has in the documentation presented a starting point for the implementation of an energy management system based on standard ISO 50001:2018. Obviously, the documentation presented is not (nor was it intended to be) a “finished product”; however, it is still a significant development. For the company analyzed, this report also presents results of energy monitoring with the objective identification of energy pathologies and proposals for improvement measures.
