Abstract(s)
Na prestação de cuidados à Pessoa em Situação Crítica (PSC) com Lesão Renal Aguda (LRA) os enfermeiros destacam-se pela importância da sua intervenção através da monitorização do doente, prevenindo a ocorrência de complicações, participando na Terapêutica de Substituição Renal (TSR), muitas vezes em contexto emergente, avaliando a evolução do doente e a sua resposta ao tratamento. Dependendo da sua etiologia, gravidade e duração, a LRA é muitas vezes de natureza transitória, e com o tratamento adequado e cuidados de enfermagem especializados, o doente pode recuperar a sua função renal.
É por isso, fundamental que o enfermeiro especialista mobilize conhecimentos e habilidades, na conceção, implementação e avaliação do plano de intervenção, numa parceria de cuidar promotora da segurança e da qualidade dos cuidados.
Deste percurso formativo fizeram parte três contextos de estágio, que nos permitiram desenvolver competências e atingir os objetivos pré-estabelecidos. Partindo de uma base teórica para a prática de cuidados e refletindo sobre essa prática, desenvolvemos um percurso que teve como referencial teórico a Teoria das Transições de Afaf Meleis.
Este documento tem como objetivo apresentar, por meio de uma metodologia reflexiva e de uma análise crítica, o percurso formativo de aquisição, desenvolvimento e consolidação dos conhecimentos e competências que fundamentam a atribuição do título de Enfermeiro Especialista em Enfermagem à PSC e de Mestre em Enfermagem.
In providing care to individuals in critical condition with Acute Kidney Injury (AKI), nurses play a crucial role through patient monitoring, preventing complications, participating in renal replacement therapy, often in emergency contexts, and assessing the patient's progress and response to treatment. Depending on its etiology, severity, and duration, AKI is often transient in nature, and with appropriate treatment and specialized nursing care, the patient can recover renal function. Therefore, it is essential that the specialist nurse applies knowledge and skills in the design, implementation, and evaluation of the intervention plan, within a caring partnership that promotes safety and quality of care. This educational journey included three internship settings, which allowed us to develop competencies and achieve pre-established objectives. Starting from a theoretical foundation toward care practice and reflecting on that practice, we developed a path guided by Afaf Meleis’ Theory of Transitions. This document aims to present, through a reflective methodology and critical analysis, the educational journey of acquiring, developing, and consolidating the knowledge and skills that underpin the awarding of the title of Specialist Nurse in Nursing Care for the Critically Ill Person and Master's Degree in Nursing.
