O estudo aqui apresentado que tem como tema o papel da tecnologia em tempos de
pandemia na vida dos idosos em unidade hospitalar no Brasil, possui como um de seus objetivos
compreender a maneira de comunicação entre os idosos e suas famílias em tempos de pandemia,
bem como a importância da mesma para a melhora ou estabilidade do idoso.
O impacto causado mundialmente pela Covid 19 provocou inúmeras mudanças na vida
da população. Estas mudanças impactaram ainda mais a terceira idade, os idosos, os quais
possuem dificuldades maiores em relação à utilização das tecnologias de comunicação, que se
tornaram fundamentais no período em que o isolamento social foi necessário.
O presente estudo buscou avaliar, decorrente da pandemia provocada pela Covid 19, a
eficácia do uso das tecnologias de comunicação dentro das unidades hospitalares, pelos idosos,
para que estes mantivessem contato com seus familiares. Pretende este trabalho investigar a
contribuição do uso da tecnologia na vida do idoso dentro das unidades hospitalares durante a
pandemia do Covid-19, verificando se este é um fator facilitador da adaptação às
transformações vividas.
O presente trabalho pretende buscar uma compreensão maior sobre a importância e a
eficácia das tecnologias de comunicação na vida do idoso para que este possa superar de forma
mais branda e adaptar-se aos obstáculos que a pandemia gerou.
A amostra do presente estudo é constituída por pessoas que vivenciaram a pandemia de
COVID-19 com algum familiar internado. Para recolha dos dados, foi utilizado um questionário
contendo perguntas relacionadas ao tema descrito anteriormente.
Para se chegar aos dados pretendidos, utilizam-se pesquisas bibliográficas e pesquisa de
campo, sendo esta desenvolvida a partir de inquérito estruturado em forma de questionário
online aplicado a profissionais da área da saúde. Também se utilizou o inquérito direcionado
aos familiares de pacientes idosos que estavam internados no período de pandemia, visando
verificar a percepção destes. E, por fim, foi realizada uma entrevista com profissional da saúde
que atuou diretamente com pacientes idosos internados. Após a realização destes inquéritos, de
caráter qualitativo, o trabalho se propõe a analisar os dados trazidos pelos próprios sujeitos que
são os objetos de análise aqui. Desta forma, ao final, se quer conhecer como a tecnologia contribuiu para que os idosos se sentissem mais próximos de seus familiares, a partir das
condições em que estes se encontravam.
The study presented here, which has as its theme the role of technology in times of pandemic in the lives of the elderly in a hospital in Brazil, has as one of its objectives to understand the way of communication between the elderly and their families in times of pandemic, as well as its importance for the improvement or stability of the elderly. The impact caused worldwide by Covid 19 has caused numerous changes in the lives of the population. These changes impacted even more the elderly, the elderly, who have greater difficulties in relation to the use of communication technologies, which became fundamental in the period when social isolation was necessary. The present study sought to evaluate, as a result of the pandemic caused by Covid 19, the effectiveness of the use of communication technologies within hospital units by the elderly, so that they could maintain contact with their families. This work intends to investigate the contribution of the use of technology in the life of the elderly within the hospital units during the Covid-19 pandemic, verifying if this is a factor that facilitates the adaptation to the transformations experienced. The present work intends to seek a greater understanding of the importance and effectiveness of communication technologies in the life of the elderly so that they can overcome in a more lenient way and adapt to the obstacles that the pandemic has generated. The sample of the present study consists of people who experienced the COVID-19 pandemic with a hospitalized family member. For data collection, a questionnaire containing questions related to the topic described above was used. In order to arrive at the intended data, bibliographic research and field research are used, which is developed from a structured survey in the form of an online questionnaire applied to health professionals. The survey aimed at family members of elderly patients who were hospitalized during the pandemic period is also used, in order to verify their perception. Finally, an interview was conducted with a health professional who worked directly with hospitalized elderly patients. After carrying out these qualitative surveys, the work proposes to analyze the data brought by the subjects themselves, who are the objects of analysis here. In this way, in 5 the end, we want to know how technology contributed to the elderly feeling closer to their families, based on the conditions in which they were.
