Abstract(s)
O presente relatório tem por base o estágio curricular realizado no Hotel The Yeatman entre
setembro de 2017 a dezembro de 2017, com vista à conclusão do Mestrado em Gestão do
Turismo e da Hotelaria da Universidade Europeia em Lisboa.
No relatório é apresentada uma revisão de literatura acerca das áreas de estudo do Turismo,
da Hotelaria e da Gestão da Cadeia de Abastecimento, tal como uma descrição e análise do
Hotel The Yeatman e das atividades desempenhadas durante o estágio.
O estágio foi realizado no departamento das compras, tendo sido incluído na equipa como
estagiário participando ativamente nas decisões/ações da equipa. O objetivo principal do
estágio centra-se na aquisição e aplicação de conhecimentos referentes à gestão e operação
hoteleira, nomeadamente no que concerne às fases de planeamento, execução, otimização,
controlo e monitorização, numa tentativa de melhorar processos futuros e desenvolver
competências.
Este documento encontra-se dividido em cinco partes. Na primeira parte é efetuada uma
contextualização acerca do Turismo e Hotelaria em Portugal e no Mundo. Posteriormente
efetuou-se um enquadramento teórico acerca do conceito de Gestão da Cadeia de
Abastecimento. Na terceira e quarta partes apresenta-se a entidade de acolhimento assim
como a descrição do estágio e das respetivas atividades. O relatório termina com uma
proposta de valor, o alinhamento entre os conhecimentos adquiridos no curso e na empresa, e
algumas considerações finais do relatório e dos temas nele abordado.
This report is based on the intership held at The Yeatman Hotel wich ocurred between september 2017 and december 2017, with the purpose of obtaining the degree of Master in Tourism and Hospitality Management from the European University in Lisbon. The report presents a literature review on the areas of Tourism, Hospitality and Supply Chain Management, and a description of the activities performed during the intership in The Yeatman. The internship was held in the purchasing department and the intern carried out several tasks during his participating in the decisions / actions of the team. The main objective of the internship was to acquire and apply knowledge related to hotel management and operation, in particular, in several important phases of planning, execution, optimization, control and monitoring, in an attempt to improve future processes and develop skills . This document is divided into five parts. In the first part, the contextualization about tourism and Hospitality in Portugal and in the World was carried out, later a theoretical framework about the concept of Supply Chain Management. In the third and fourth parts the host entity is presented as well as the description of the the activities. The report concludes with a conclusion and final considerations from the report and the themes it addresses.
