Abstract(s)
O presente trabalho apresenta o desenvolvimento de uma solução automatizada em ambiente industrial para a inspeção por ultrassons utilizando a técnica de Phased Array para juntas topo a topo de ligação de módulos de caldeira do tipo HRSG na empresa GE em Setúbal. Todo o desenvolvimento foi feito com base nos requisitos do código ASME Secção V, Artigo 4, nos Apêndices Mandatórios V e VII, os quais definem as variáveis essenciais do ensaio. As características de todo o processo são descritas, bem com as opções tomadas sobre os equipamentos escolhidos, assim como os trabalhos de industrialização da solução. Este desenvolvimento posteriormente converge para um procedimento de inspeção para utilização da tecnologia na empresa GE, fazendo o suporte para a migração da tecnologia de radiografia convencional para a tecnologia de ultrassons Phased Array.
This thesis presents the development of an automated solution on an industrial environment for ultrasonic inspection using the Phased Array technique on boiler modules of HRSG type on butt weld joints on GE Company in Setúbal. All development was based on ASME code requirements Section V, Article 4, on Mandatory Appendices V and VII, which define the essential variables of the test. The characteristics of the process were described, as well as the choices made on the chosen equipment, as well as the manufacturing work of the solution. This development will converges to an inspection procedure for the use of this technology on GE Company in Setúbal, making support for the migration of conventional radiographic technology to ultrasonic Phased array technology.
